We’re the founders of Recovery Base, a space built from our own journey with health, training, and recovery.
Born and raised in the Illawarra, we wanted to create something that felt local, real, and inclusive — a calm sanctuary where every body can feel supported to restore, recharge, and reconnect.
OUR STORY
Our Health & Wellness Journey Began...
Like many families, life for us has always been full — juggling work, kids, and finding time to move, rest, and look after ourselves. Over the years, we realised something was missing: a space that made recovery easy, accessible, and part of everyday life.
For me (Julie), health and wellbeing have always been a passion. From the gym to self-care, I’ve seen how simple recovery practices can completely change how we feel in our bodies and minds.
For Nathan, recovery is deeply personal. After years of back issues, surgeries, and chronic pain, he saw first-hand how hard it can be to find the right support. That experience planted the seed for Recovery Base — a place where recovery isn’t just for athletes, but for anyone who wants to live with less pain and more energy.
What we’re building is more than a business. It’s a community space where people come together to slow down, feel better, and take care of themselves in ways that fit everyday life.
